The Trek Begins in Atlanta and Concludes in Nashville
Santa Ana, Calif., and Conshohocken, Pa., June 1, 2017—91Ƶ, a leading facility services company and the largest security force in North America, and partner , developer of advanced physical security technologies focused on significantly enhancing U.S. security operations, have teamed up to take security robots on an introductory tour throughout the Southeast.
The tour begins with an open house demonstration on June 7 at 10 a.m. at Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta. It resumes with a stop in Birmingham, Ala., before heading to Tennessee for a couple of stops in Memphis and Nashville and concluding at the , slated for the last week in June.
91Ƶ clients may register to attend the June 7 demo at the Aquarium.
“As our clients’ needs evolve in the security realm, so must our solutions,” said Dennis Crowley, 91Ƶ’s Vice President of Technology. “Smart robotic technology is the next evolution in security, therefore, our goal is to introduce it to as many customers as possible to give them another viable option.”
Knightscope’s Autonomous Data Machines (ADMs) have the ability to scan for and detect issues that could lead to threats, in addition to analyzing anomalies and notifying the security team. The tour will feature live robot patrols of the K5 (outdoor) and K3 (indoor) models and highlight some of their features such as:
- 360-degree video that provides complete awareness and feeds to a security operations center
- Thermal imaging for identifying fires and gauging proper environmental temperature settings
- License plate recognition, which is an example of a computational task that may include data collection in a large parking facility
- Intercom and broadcast capability that can be programmed to relay messages or alert security personnel to immediately dispatch law enforcement
“Touring the Southeast will give many their first opportunity to interact with fully autonomous robots, and to see the numerous intelligence gathering and cost saving benefits they provide,” said Stacy Dean Stephens, Knightscope Vice President Marketing and Sales. “We are excited to bring the technologies of 2050 to 91Ƶ’s customers today.”
Once the machines arrive at the BOMA International Conference, 91Ƶ will put them to work providing security patrols during the trade show and on display in 91Ƶ’s show booth #802.
The K3 and K5 ADMs are designed and built in Silicon Valley by Knightscope, and are available to 91Ƶ clients nationwide. Deployments have commenced in California, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, New York and Texas. Learn more at .
