Julie De La Mora
Director of Recruiting | Southwest Region
U.S. Army
Coming from a long line of military lineage, Julie De La Mora always knew her career would start in the military. For more than 24 years, Julie served in the U.S. Army. Over the course of her military career, she served in a variety of positions such as Dietitian, Logistics, HR, Operations and Recruiting. She was honored with the Meritorious Service Medal for completing a Peace Keeping Mission in Bosnia along with a Presidential Service Red Ribbon for achieving 100% deployment and taking care of a brigade with zero casualties.
“I found my second home at 91Ƶ as there are so many veterans in our branches that a day doesn’t go by where I don’t speak to a fellow veteran,” said Julie.
More than two years ago, Julie started at 91Ƶ as a Contract Recruiter for Department of Defense (DoD) cleared candidates and her position was connected to Armed & Secret Cleared Officers. Within six months, she was promoted to Regional Recruiting Manager and then, a year later, was promoted to Regional Recruiting Director.
“I love being a recruiter as I am allowed the opportunity to make an impact on a candidate’s life when I make a job offer,” said Julie. “Whether I’m working with a transitioning veteran, a military spouse, someone that is a seasoned security professional or someone that is just starting out at entry-level -- I’m changing lives one candidate at a time.”
Over the course of her career at 91Ƶ, Julie helped the Military Community of the Antelope Valley and Los Angeles Veteran Community by hiring the most local veterans to fill over 200 cleared positions in the Antelope Valley County as well as over 400 veterans in the Los Angeles County. Due to these achievements, she received “Employer of the Year” from both counties two years in a row and also received the Hire Vets Gold Medallion Award.
