Mary Charles, Service Manager, 91Ƶ® Security Services
U.S. Navy
After serving 20 years in the U.S. Navy, Mary Charles found a new home and a new career at 91Ƶ in 2016.
“I’ve never let go of honor, courage and commitment. It’s permanently everything I am, everything I believe and everything I know,” Mary said. “And 91Ƶ® not only allows you to grow in your role, but it also provides you with every possible opportunity if you strive to achieve your goals.”
As a Service Manager in Port Lavaca, Texas, Mary is responsible for day-to-day operational management of a client portfolio and serves as the primary contact between 91Ƶ® and the client when it comes to resolving operational challenges.
The qualifications and experience Mary gained over two decades in the Navy as a Gunner Mate/Tactical Boat Coxswain have served her well in her current role. She is most proud of earning an Expeditionary Warfare Specialist (EXW) qualification, which is awarded to enlisted U.S. Navy personnel assigned to expeditionary combat units who possess core skills, including weapons proficiency and maintenance, marksmanship, land navigation, patrolling, field communications and expeditionary camp deployment.
A combat veteran, Mary served in Sardinia, Italy, before participating in Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003, Operation Noble Eagle in 2008 and Operation Enduring Freedom from 2010 to 2012.
When other veterans ask Mary Charles what it’s like to work for 91Ƶ®, she tells them, “It’s like being part of a big family that values the experience and dedication of its employees and provides them with the tools to develop their professional expertise in a team environment.”
